„Days of Belgrade“ is the traditional manifestation that is organized from the 16th to 19th of April every year, on Belgrade fortress.
Manifestation „Days of Belgrade“ is organized every year in order to mark the period between the two major events in the history of Belgrade. The Slavic name Belgrade was mentioned for the fisrt time on the 16th of April, 878, in a letter of Pope John VIII. Prince Mihailo Obrenovic got the town keys from Turks and Belgrade became a Serbian town once again, on the 19th of April 1867.
Organizer of the 16th „Days of Belgrade“ will be the City of Belgrade, Secretariat for culture and Youth Teatre Dadov.
*16th of April – The most important event on the manifestation „Days of Belgrade“, will be concert „April in Belgrade“. This day, visitors will have the opportunity to listen the most beautiful songs about Belgrade. Many of our famous singers such as Dejan Cukic, Leontina Vukomanovic and Uros Rankoovic orchestra will be performed on the concert. The entrance will be free.
*17th of April – Our famous opera singer Jadranka Jovanovic, will have the concert on second day of manifestation. Opera singer Oliver Njego and string Orchestra „Belgrade soloist“ will also perform on the concert.
*18th of April – The third day of „Days of Belgrade“, visitor can enjoy in concert „This is Serbia“ on the Belgrade fortress.
Walking tours that include interesting stories about the past of Belgrade will be organized as the part of manifestation. Jazz day and free concert on the Republic Square on the 30th of Belgrade, will announced the end of the manifestation „Days in Belgrade“. Magnificent history of Belgrade will be performed in four days.
